City Council Meeting Audio 4/11/07

We attended another City Council Conference Meeting along with the regular meeting. The conference session was important because the Riverwalk principles were rebutting the citizens group's research and issues on and with the project.

At the conference meeting, the principles decided to have the Easton Parking Authority solicitor, Scott Allinson, present their testimony. He took 15 minutes, and he failed to offer much in the way of references to his statements.

The regular meeting was tension filled. It lasted 2 hours, and all but about 20 minutes was used for public comment. The meeting got heated, parliamentary procedure was tested, and the Riverwalk project was the dominant issue (several residents and business owners spoke for and against it). BA and HOC took on the City's inefficient and unmoderated boards, authorities, and commissions.
