Nearly a week after our 6 inch snowfall the streets of Easton are deplorable. The main downtown arteries, as well as, the only ways in and out of the city are still not plowed curb to curb. Not even the metered spaces (that the City wants to raise the fees for) are cleared. If you can get your car in the space you then need to climb over a frozen embankment to get to the meter. How and why is this acceptable? Now I understand why Mayor Mitman spends so much time in Harrisburg. He’s been attending the Governor Rendell School of Snow Removal. The Partners for Livable Communities are probably contemplating charging us another $5,000 to take back the award that we paid for. Keep up the good work Phil.
