Republicans Announce for City Council

At 3:00 PM earlier today, the Easton Republican Committee filled the back dining room at Ashley's Restaurant (229 N 11th Street) to present a slate of four Council candidates. The candidates are Peter Melan of College Hill (Self employed), Brian L. Otto Sr. of the West Ward (Easton Block Watch president), Roger Ruggles (Lafayette Professor, Home Rule Charter Commissioner, and Sewer Authority Commissioner), and Bill Timmann of the South Side (Self employed).

A hand full of questions were asked of the candidates. I asked who the party's Mayoral candidate was; I was told that he would be announcing "in a couple of days".
